In retrospect perhaps did come off bit too harsh on small town life. I did not mean at all to come off as celebrating the opioid crisis, as I too have lost several friends from the small town in which I grew up. My criticism was aimed more towards society (especially small town society) failing to address the root cause of why people pop pills to begin with - a lack of good health care. And then deflecting and distracting with stupid cultural wars such as this one.
