Okay, now that I have your attention, this title is obviously a semi-parody of all of those “how to make money on Medium” stories that tend to occasionally catch your clicks and then forever clutter your recommended feed.
However, this is also a bit of self-reflection for those of us who have never even broken even on this platform, and a bit of brainstorming on how to improve.
Some Medium writers claim to make big bucks
They seem to become established on some other topic, and then pad their income by writing a re-hashed “how to Medium” story every few weeks. You know the ones I’m talking about. Because like me, you’ve clicked on them from time to time.
Then there is the rest of us.
We’re casual writers and long time subscribers to the service. We’ve had a few stories picked up for wider distribution and we’ve had a few submitted to publications. And had a few dollars show up in our accounts.
